An important and very promising application of GH-EXIN in two-way hierarchical clustering, for the analysis of gene expression data in the study of the colorectal cancer is described.
After a survey of existing SOM performance metrics, they are implemented in Python and widely used numerical libraries, and provided as an open-source library, SOMperf, which introduces each metric available in the module along with usage examples.
