This paper proposes LAEO-Net, a new deep CNN for determining LAEO in videos, which achieves state-of-the-art results on the existing TVHID-LAEO video dataset, significantly outperforming previous approaches.
A novel one-stage mutual gaze detection framework called Mutual Gaze TRansformer or MGTR is proposed to perform Mutual gaze detection in an end-to-end manner and can detect each human head bounding box and simultaneously infer mutual gaze relationship based on global image information, which streamlines the whole process with simplicity.
Adding a benchmark result helps the community track progress.
