The dataset contains tiles extracted from Whole Slide Images (WSI) of stained tissue samples.

Normal tissue from mouse and rat species; liver, brain, lung, heart, pancreas, spleen, kidney organs; Masson's Trichrome and H&I staining. This data was NOT manually curated and may contain various artifacts
Tissue with Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease in mouse, stained with Masson's Trichrome and H&E. This data was manually verified by an experienced pathologist.

The proposed system for anomaly detection in histopathological images outperforms established AD methods on a published dataset of liver anomalies and is used for toxicity assessment of candidate drugs at early development stages and thereby may reduce expensive late-stage drug attrition.
